Building Integrated Architectural Fabric Strategic Relationship with Ferrari Textiles

(AIM: PFLM), ("PowerFilm" or “the Company"), the developer and manufacturer of thin flexible solar panels, today announces that it has formed a formal strategic relationship with Ferrari Textiles for developing and marketing a specifiable, differentiated building integrated solar product that combines the complementary strengths of Ferrari’s leading architectural fabric products and market position with PowerFilm’s breakthrough building integrated solar panels.

Ferrari Textiles, founded in 1973 and based outside Lyon, France, is an established global leader in developing, manufacturing, and marketing architectural fabric products. It is widely recognized for its product innovation and leadership and has a global presence with an in-house marketing team with strong business relationships with the architectural community and building owners. Ferrari Textiles is active in 80 countries, has 600 employees, and has a turnover of approximately 150 million Euros, with 75 percent of the turnover derived from international sales.

PowerFilm has leading thin film solar technology and products. It is finalizing the development of its building integrated solar, BIPV, products. The Company’s building integrated business strategy is to partner with a limited number of leading established building products companies to develop and market differentiated building integrated solar products and systems.

The differentiated integrated product is now being developed and tested thoroughly by PowerFilm and Ferrari Textiles. Further information will be announced at the time of the full commercial product launch.
